About the choir
The International Singers were created in 2006 by their Musical Director, Simon Fletcher. It holds a unique status amongst choirs in France by means of its repertoire and composition.
Bringing together some 50 singers all sharing the same passion, they hail from countries from around the world and representative of several continents. The repertoire consists principally of contemporary music with anglo-saxon origins and from the very best of musical theatre as seen in London’s West End or on Broadway in New York.
The International Singers are beginning to “wow” the people of Lille and the surrounding areas of Northern France with concerts in public venues as well as at private functions organised by civic bodies as well as associations etc.
Musical Objectives
The International Singers is a choir structured around anglo-saxon values and traditions. Our rehearsals are rigorous and “professional” whilst at the same time maintaining an air of fun and friendliness.
We rehearse for a half day approximately every 3 weeks. We give 3 or 4 concerts per year in the Lille and Nord-Pas-de Calais area but are just as keen to go further a field to sing.We have links with other choirs and musical groups in the region so as to organise joint events.
